And by the way, the pairing is canon.
I wanted to make a stamp of this pairing, because I noticed there was a lack of one. There was one, but it used a fanart image; which is fine, but I wanted to try and post a pairing stamp, from something in the game, itself. Also, I wanted to display this pairing under my favorite pairings, in the stamps I display.
If you couldn't tell by the title, this is from a game called Odin Sphere
It's a 2D fantasy action RPG video game, credited by Vanillaware, Atlus, and Square-Enix. It tells the interlocking stories of five different protagonists, which is heavily inspired by concepts from the Norse mythology; especially Richard Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen"
(The Ring of the Nibelung). Odin Sphere has five stories. The protagonist of each story is connected to the royalty of each of five warring nations in the world of Erion. These five stories overlap and interconnect, and the protagonist of one story may be the antagonist of another.
I was introduced to this game through my brother, through his seeing the Let's Play
of the beginning of it, on a forum we often lurk at.
If you haven't heard or played this game, I would highly recommend it. It's such a great game that deserves complete credit, for all of its effort. The story catches you from the beginning (it certainly did for me), the characters are quite engaging, the soundtrack of the game's music is beautiful, the visuals of the game are appealing, and this game proves that 2D RPG games aren't dead. Also, they give you the option to switch the voice-acting to Japanese, if you want. How cool is that?
But, in my own opinion, the English dubbing was also well done. Like Final Fantasy IX, I wish this game would become an anime, if not at least a worthy length of an animated movie, for its plot. It would be so lovely ~
Here are both the English and Japanese trailers (both having a little different content in each)
I'm so playing this when
comes back for another visit, soon enough (Hopefully including FF IX).
